250 MCM Cable

A 250 MCM cable is a cable that is composed of two or more wires that are braided together to form a single strand of wires. There are several types of cables. For example, a mechanical cable is used for lifting, hauling or towing a force through tension. Electrical engineering cables help conduct electrical currents. An optical cable consists of one or more optical fibers that are covered to protect and support the fibers.

A 250 MCM cable current usually runs along the surface of the conductor of electricity and avoids the core at high frequencies. Several electrical cables can be made more flexible by stranding the wires that are in the 250 MCM cable. To make the cable more flexible, smaller individual wires are twisted together to generate a larger wire. The larger wire tends to be more flexible than solid wires of the smaller size.
